“One’s destination is never a place, but a new way of seeing things.” ~  Henry Miller

Welcome Friends to the exciting launch of my new artistic blog, ‘Passport2Paint’ ~ my intentions for this blog are to provide an up to the minute interactive form of communication that will cover what’s new with all things art related. I hope it will become your ‘go-to’ spot as a valuable resource whether you are a budding artist, a professional fine artist, a collector, or someone just interested in enriching your cultural life. In the spirit of Richard Branson, I am going to launch this baby ~ so exciting but also quite scary ~ I am going to start before I think I am ‘ready’ as that time may never come…

Passport2Paint will review and discuss the tools of the trade for creating art ~ products and art gear, interview interesting characters and key movers and shakers in the art world, share works in progress, explore creativity and the creative process, give you great art tips for both studio and plein air work, and will report from different locations in the world on interesting things you might want to check out for yourself!

There will be many art tips and techniques shared on these pages, from running your art business to marketing and social media tips to navigate the art world in a new paradigm for the future. I plan on keeping you up to date on a weekly basis with special events, exhibitions, workshops, bonus offers and giveaways~ so stay tuned you won’t want to miss out! Along with all this ‘art goodness’ each week I hope to share with you one of my paintings, which will also be for sale if you are interested in purchasing directly from me.

So I suppose I should tell you a little bit about myself: I am Georgia Mansur, a practicing full time professional artist and international workshop instructor. I grew up in California but have been living in Australia for about 30 years now and loving it!

I am a trained and certified Golden Artist Educator and an official ambassador for Daniel Smith Paints, creator of the Georgia Mansur Palette by Daniel Smith. Along with exhibiting and selling my art internationally, I also teach painting workshops in Australia, France, Italy, Portugal, Croatia, USA and the UK. My travels take me all around Australia as well as internationally and put me in a unique position to communicate and share my experiences. Additionally, I have a degree in Communication Studies so I hope that will facilitate you getting what you need from Passport2Paint.

I have been the Artist in Residence at Hamilton Island/Great Barrier Reef, Australia, and created the blueprint for the Artist in Residence at Emirates Wolgan Valley Luxury Resort in the Blue Mountains, Australia. I will be returning as the Artist in Residence again next year along with an AIR stint in Western Australia at Cable Beach Resort, Broome next July.

I am very passionate about sharing my creativity and art with others and helping them gain access to that part of themselves, whether they are a beginning artist or a seasoned professional, my students have given me the nickname ‘The Art Whisperer’ so I hope that you will find something here each week to inspire and move you to engage more each day with art and the creative process. I invite you to share your experiences, ask questions and be a part of this creative community ~ we are all creative ~ and I will share with you everything I have in my power to do so ~ in the words of Vincent Van Gogh,

“I am seeking. I am striving. I am in it with all my heart.”

Welcome and wishing you all creative abundance and joy! If you like this please share and connect with me on social media and visit my website: http://www.georgiamansur.com
